Registration & Other Important Info. |
The Kennesaw Pride Alliance would like to extend an invitation to you or your organization to attend the 2010 Summit at Kennesaw State University on April 10, 2010. The Summit consists of students, faculty, staff, and student organization advisers all coming together for the common goal of learning and networking while being a member of the LGBT community. The Summit features diverse LGBT speakers and round table discussions focusing on how to improve campus climate.
This year we have exciting new changes and are opening up the conference to neighboring schools outside the state of Georgia as well as providing specific round tables to faculty and staff as well as advisers. We have also changed the location of the conference on campus. Once held in the Carmichael Student Center, the Summit will now take place in the Social Sciences building. Last fall, KSU debuted a new dining hall on campus featuring seven types of cuisine fitting to any diet. The Commons is a two story complex and has become quite popular with the students for its an "all you can eat" style dining experience. As lunch breaks during the conference we encourage participants to dine with us in the Commons for it is not only convenient, but delicious.
If you or your organization would like to attend the 2010 Summit, feel free to register as an individual or a group. This year the Summit will be open to a maximum of 300 participants, so please register quickly before all spots are filled. There will be a $10 lunch fee per individual attached with registration. This fee does not apply to currently enrolled KSU students, faculty, and staff who have previously paid for their meal plan. The Kennesaw Pride Alliance requests that you or your organization post-marks a check written to the Kennesaw Pride Alliance no later than March 26th to secure registration.
Upon registration, the Kennesaw Pride Alliance will email you or your organization the conference itinerary and a travel packet. The packet will include discounted hotel rates to accommodate your stay either next to campus or within the city of Atlanta. We will also include a list of LGBT nightlife, restaurants, and shopping as well as a campus map, Atlanta attractions, and Marta information.
We hope you all are excited about the 2010 Summit as we are! To request extra information or submit questions, feel free to contact us at officer@kennesawpridealliance.com.
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
Please note that payment ($10) will be accepted the day of the conference.
A map of campus is available here. |
